The search for stability is one that we all embark on all the time. Until recently I thought this was what we are supposed to do. However, recent events have lead me to believe that all are training and teaching prepares us to, in the words of John-Logan Coots, “get comfortable being uncomfortable.” Stability exists only in our ability to be comfortable with the lack of it.

There are times in life when you prepare for what is to come. You have rehearsed it, now it’s coming and then when it comes it still smacks you harder than you thought. The good news is the sting will go away if you focus on you!!!

Any child who grew up in Sonoma county knows what Gravity Hill is. A bump in the road that appears to have you going up hill when all signs are pointing in the right direction…….

I have spent my lifetime seeking the approval from my dad and being rejected time and again. I simply wanted him to say he loves me and believes in me. I cant help but compare this desire to the desire that Jesus has for us to know him. I want my Dad to know me as Jesus wants us to know and seek him…….I have confused my dad for my Father…..They are in fact different.

Rocks cause ripples that start from the inside out. You are either there from the beginning and experience the whole journey or you start on the outside looking in. Be the rock that causes the ripple…..

Every month I head over to pay for STORAGE. What am I storing? That is the million dollar question. I don’t even know what is in there. Every time I go there I leave there flustered and derailed for a moment from my present path…..has this happened to you?

You ever feel like you don’t know who you are? You ever feel like you are trying to be who you think you are but are left feeling empty. Knowing who we are is not an easy task. I don’t believe I do but here are a few thoughts I have had on where to start to look.

The shaggy coat of a wet dog is hard to shake dry while the wet coat of a furless dog shakes dry with ease. How can we remain furless and shake off the wetness with ease over and over again without letting the weight of the water hold us down?

Self Sabotage is fear winning. Often we sabotage what could be triumphant success because we are scared. In ROCKY 3 there is a seen where Rocky admits he is scared. Adrian knocks him into shape and he goes on to train harder than ever. Can we be our own Adrian……..?
