The search for stability is one that we all embark on all the time. Until recently I thought this was what we are supposed to do. However, recent events have lead me to believe that all are training and teaching prepares us to, in the words of John-Logan Coots, “get comfortable being uncomfortable.” Stability exists only in our ability to be comfortable with the lack of it.

You ever feel like you don’t know who you are? You ever feel like you are trying to be who you think you are but are left feeling empty. Knowing who we are is not an easy task. I don’t believe I do but here are a few thoughts I have had on where to start to look.

I tried to spell the word alone out of the letters from lonely. It does not work. I realize that there is no alone in lonely. We can be lonely but we are never alone.

The voices are speaking to me again and they are intense. They will not stop talking about that big meeting next week. You know the one that I botched last year. They remind me of the failure and show me the promise of what can be should I not fail at the next one. They are the voices that are focused on the past and the anticipation of the future, the voices that distract me from now.

Have you ever wanted someone to believe in you so bad you lost sight of those that already did. Are you discouraged and feel that nobody believes in you? If so you need to know that someone believes in you!

The cloud is dark and it is right on our heels. We are running but we feel as though we are starting to get sucked in. We are stuck in Mental mind purgatory. The feeling of vacillating between the two worlds. Where is the light and can we get there?

You sent a text and now you are anxiously awaiting the reply. You want to know what they will say so bad but the minutes seem like hours and the hours like days. Did you go to far or are they just busy? Why can’t we be this curious in person?

Do you feel stuck in Motion? Are you at a place where you feel like you are moving fast but nowhere at the same time. Are you going backwards and you don’t even know it? Stuck in motion examines three possibilities to solve or appear to solve this situation.

Today I sit tired and still. Watching all the conversations around me fill the room. Are they authentic? Do they have substance? Many seem superficial, others engaged and many just the movement takes place.

When life feels like it is unraveling in every way DIG DEEP, Find your Faith, remember what you are GRATEFUL for and be ACTIVE. Inactivity is the killer of faith because inactivity cannot breed confidence in what we cannot see.
