The voices are speaking to me again and they are intense. They will not stop talking about that big meeting next week. You know the one that I botched last year. They remind me of the failure and show me the promise of what can be should I not fail at the next one. They are the voices that are focused on the past and the anticipation of the future, the voices that distract me from now.

Harvey Dent is the fictional character from Batman. He was the cities finest District Attorney until the day of the accident. He was the picture of perfect to the people. He stood up for the people, protected the people and never put himself above the people. He was part of the crowd fighting to do what was right. In his pursuit of protection there was freak explosion and half of Harvey Dent’s face was destroyed. From that day forth he was known as two-face……………………

One year ago was one of the worst days of my life. I was certain that I would allow the memory of that day impact this day for me. It did not. I did not let it as the past is not the present!

Have you ever been broken up with, told that you lost a client or delivered bad news via text or email? I’m, sure you have as it seems to be a growing disease that we the people are imploring. No more face to respect?

The shaggy coat of a wet dog is hard to shake dry while the wet coat of a furless dog shakes dry with ease. How can we remain furless and shake off the wetness with ease over and over again without letting the weight of the water hold us down?

Which duck are you? I am at the park and the ducks are all about. They are eager to get a little of the bread and the food that we have for them. They are waiting anxiously for the treat. All day they have been doing work waiting for the reward and now it is here.

The cloud is dark and it is right on our heels. We are running but we feel as though we are starting to get sucked in. We are stuck in Mental mind purgatory. The feeling of vacillating between the two worlds. Where is the light and can we get there?

We have often told our children that it is not whether we win or lose the game it’s how hard we play the game. I think that it is time that we followed our own advice and started realizing that if we are bringing it every day we will not be in our current position for long……..

Sometimes you get behind the computer and type away. What comes out is whatever you are feeling at the time and it may not even make sense. That is what this post represents. Random free write.

Letting go of our past accomplishments, mistakes, successes to move forward with our present can many times be difficult. It is easy to hold onto a you that you believe was the (Wo)Man. It can be scary to see what the future you can do. You may be in a bad way right now and the past is all you feel you have left!
