They remind me of the failure and show me the promise of what can be should I not fail at the next one. They are the voices that are focused on the past and the anticipation of the future, the voices that distract me from now.

Harvey Dent is the fictional character from Batman. He was the cities finest District Attorney until the day of the accident. He was the picture of perfect to the people. He stood up for the people, protected the people and never put himself above the people. He was part of the crowd fighting to do what was right. In his pursuit of protection there was freak explosion and half of Harvey Dent’s face was destroyed. From that day forth he was known as two-face……………………

One year ago was one of the worst days of my life. I was certain that I would allow the memory of that day impact this day for me. It did not. I did not let it as the past is not the present!
